ARC Raiders
A TV or movie based on Arc Raiders is "fun", says Embark's boss, but it must be done "the right...

Patrick Soderlund of Embark says he had received multiple offers to make arc raiders trading TV and movies, but that none were quite right.
"I cannot tell you the number of companies that have approached us about creating a television series [or] film based on our IP. Soderlund told GamesBeat: "So many." "We are not opposed to doing it. It will be fun. But it must be done the right manner. I mean, I really hope that we do. "I think the IP is a great fit for something like that."
"We haven't had anyone working on the TV or Film adaptation yet," he clarified.
Arc Raiders was a huge hit among critics and gamers since its October 2025 release. In our Arc Raiders reviews, we gave it 4.5 stars. We called it "approachable," but "palpably tension" and "incredibly drama."
The game's active player count peaked on Sunday (4th January) at more than three million. There's no wonder that Hollywood is interested in bringing this smash hit to the big screen. However, Soderland did not reveal who exactly has expressed an interest.
While there may not yet be an Arc Raiders film or TV series to look forward to, there are many other new adaptations you can get into. Fallout season 2 airs weekly on Prime Video. Return to Silent Hill is coming to theaters on 26 January.

Arc Raiders' players are sick of "cheating like crazy" and one former FPS expert says that it "might be even worse than peak Call of Duty".
Arc Raiders appears to be suffering from an influx of cheaters as the multiplayer shooter continues its growth. Embark Studios has been urged to increase anti-cheat protections as players have found themselves being targeted by enemies who can shoot through concrete or use other exploits.
Stella Montis has been a hotspot of such behavior. "I'm getting killed again and again behind walls or through them, people are cheating and it makes me quit," reads a Reddit thread, which included a video clip showing the players being blasted into the ceiling.
The top comment also reflects the same experience: "I convinced another friend to try the game, and then on our Stella Montis first we got smashed through the roof." It seems to happen quite often right now. In particular, online cheats that take you out of bounds are becoming more common.
Arc Raiders was a hellish experience for me in the last week. It's important to note that I absolutely love this game, and it's in my personal top 10 of all time. But the level of cheating is so bad that it might be worse even than Call of Duty at its peak. I'm not trying bring anyone down.
"Is Embark doing something about cheaters?" A frustrated Redditor wonders, "Who shot inside Stella Montis by someone on the rooftop?" According to the belief, cheaters are using software that can be found online. Many games are plagued by these types of modifications, such as Battlefield or Call of Duty. Matthew 'Nadeshot' Haag, a former esports player, believes that a disturbing standard is forming for Arc Raiders.
Haag said in a Twitter post that the amount of cheating could be even worse than Call of Duty. He continues to make suggestions on how Embark can handle cheating.
He states that "the only way they can protect the success and popularity of this game, is to use the same legal actions Epic used to handle Fortnite - a legitimate legal action taken against individuals and companies who actively provide and use cheating programs."
Epic is much bigger and has more resources available to support such projects. Embark doesn't have the same size as Epic, but neither is it at the same level. The team will be looking to solve the problem of increasing cheating as soon as possible.
