When you bump into Beira of the Rotten Pack, you’ll figure out pretty quick this fight’s more about smart footwork than pumping out raw damage. She’s got poison tricks up her sleeve and calls in her wolves when things heat up, so you can’t just plant your feet and trade blows.
The whole thing’s a constant test of moving and reacting, and if you’re not staying sharp, she’ll run you down fast. Oh, and before you even step in there, make sure you’ve got your PoE 2 Items ready – having the right kit here can make all the difference.
At the start it’s just you and the big mutt. Watch out for her leap – she dips low for half a second before springing forward, and that’s your cue to dodge sideways, not back. Her claws can chain into a three-hit swipe, and if you eat all of it, it’s gonna hurt. The poison spit’s another headache: slow-moving, sure, but it leaves a nasty green puddle that’ll chew your health down. Best way to handle this part? Keep on the move, slip in a couple of swings right after she finishes an attack, then clear out before she lines up another.
Once you’ve chipped off about a quarter of her health, expect her to throw back her head and let out a howl – here come the Rotten Pack wolves. These little guys aren’t just for show; they’re fast, hit harder than they look, and worst, they stack bleed. That bleed will drain your HP in no time. So your focus flips straight to controlling the adds. Pull them in tight and drop any AoE skills you’ve got. All the while, Beira’s still prowling for openings, so keep her in your peripheral and don’t let her catch you off guard.
When she’s sitting at around 40% health, she’ll lose the plot completely and go berserk. Every swing’s faster and nastier. Biggest thing to watch is her Feral Howl – she charges up, the ground lights up in a widening circle, and if you’re inside it, you’re in trouble. Get out before it lands, or you’ll be stuck with a defense debuff that’ll make the rest of the fight way uglier. From here it’s all survival – wait for her to commit to an attack, dodge, drop a couple of hits, then reposition. Trying to end it quick will usually just get you killed.
Bring capped poison resist if you can – it takes a huge chunk out of the stress – and pack a flask that clears bleed, ’cause those wolves won’t stop nipping at you. Mobility skills like Dash are gold for dodging the leap and escaping her big howl zone.
Stick to the rhythm: move, deal with the pups, play it safe when she’s enraged. Do that and you’ll see her go down, and maybe even treat yourself to some PoE 2 Items cheap after the dust settles.
