1. The program supports generating a .readme file, that additionally confirms to the new structure.
2. Additionally the program converts "any" .readme file to a standard design. Since verson 1.3 it takes the lines below the header too.
A .readme file is necessary when you upload a file to Aminet.
The program takes control about the conventions of the structure, the length of entries and the length of the name of the file.
There are several programs to create a .readme file in the Aminet, but all of them are old and does not cover the new structure of the Aminet-readme-file. A new and major entry is the group "Architecture", and this is not supported by the old programs.
The programs I examined where: uprc, arf-wizard, AmiReadMeGen, ARC, CAR, LazyReadme, Readmemaker, ReportPlus (Version 4.71), CEDMakeReadme, Com2Readme, MakeRMThor.ReportPlus with Version 6 and higher supports the "Architecutre" field, but does only run with OS 3.9.
