It's funny how time changes things. Many of today's Amiga users have never heard of Musicman, and that's perfectly okay. It just means it's time to reconnect, share some history, and introduce a new generation to the music and projects that started years ago on the Amiga and Southern California BBS scene.
I'm looking forward to getting back into the BBS and Amiga world, releasing some of my original MOD music, and hopefully reconnecting with some long-lost Amiga Elite friends from the old days.
If you remember the scene, the boards, the demos, the trackers, or the Musicman MODs, drop me a message. I'd love to hear from you.
Feel free to add me, even if we have never met.

Greetings Amiga Elites and friends
I'm pleased to announce that a collection of my original Musicman MODs is being prepared for release in WAV format.
Many of these Protracker and Oktalyzer MODs were originally uploaded years ago to local BBS systems in Southern California and eventually found their way throughout the Amiga community around the world. It has been amazing to know that music created on the Amiga reached so many users across so many countries.
These are the same original Musicman mod files created by me, and have converted them to high-quality WAV files to preserve and share them with both longtime Amiga enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
Whether you remember downloading these tracks from the BBS days or are hearing them for the first time, I look forward to making them available again soon.
Thank you to the Amiga community for keeping the spirit of the platform alive all these years.

Hi everyone, I’m planning to build an electric focuser using a NEMA 17 stepper motor from
www.skysmotor.co.uk
. I have a few questions regarding the selection process and would appreciate your advice:
1. What is the ideal holding torque for a focuser? Is around 40 N·cm sufficient, or is a higher torque recommended?
2. Is it necessary to choose a NEMA 17 motor with a gearbox, or can microstepping the driver meet the precision requirements?
3. Is there a significant difference in actual focusing precision between 1.8° and 0.9° step angles?
4. How can I minimize the impact of vibration and resonance on image quality during low-speed operation?
5. Are there any specific recommendations regarding motor current and heat dissipation for astrophotography applications (involving low temperatures and long operating times)?
I’d love to hear from anyone with hands-on experience—please feel free to share your model choices and any lessons learned from past pitfalls. Thanks a lot!
